I checked the site today and it states a release time of May.
Oh well. Since Netraverse is listening, I am a Mandrake user. I
purchased Win4Lin 1.0 and got the upgrade to 2.0.
My machine sits directly connected to the web, DSL. I had a very
difficult time getting the kernel to patch and make a bootable kernel,
and quite frankly am not willing to go through it again. Mandrake 8.0
just came out, new kernel is mandatory for security reasons. I just got
some USB stuff that seems like it will work better with the 2.4 kernel.
While I like your product, upgrading my machine seems to break it. And I
just don't have the time to go through the patching procedure everytime
I upgrade. And Linux will continue to be upgraded ad infinitum. So it's
with some regret that I will simply stop using it. I also have VMware,
and I have no problem with it after I upgrade, run the reconfig script
and away I go. Yes, it doesn't boot as fast. Yes, apps run slower on it.
But you know what, it works, and for balancing the checkbook with
Quicken, it's good enough.
Goodbye, thanks.
