I couldn't wait for the free upgrade so I've installed the evaluation
version of 3.0 and I'll upgrade later.
The Install went smoothly and everything works (so far) but I can't
print! I have set up printing exactly as I did under win4lin v1 and v2
(I'm using Mandrake 8.0 BTW), but nothing happens when I try to print
something and I get the following error message in the console used to
start win4lin:
"lpr: unable to print file: client-error-not-found"
Is anyone else having this problem? Is printing disabled in the
evaluation version? Pretty silly if it is - the license is only valid
for 30 days so why cripple it?
I must add that I've noticed some gaps in the documentation. For
example, there is no mention of creating printer definitions in the
system wide configuration if you are using more than one printer.
All the same, the product seems pretty good, some nice improvements, and
some annoying bugs fixed.
