You missed my first post as well.  I am trying to use Acrobat v4 under linux 
and not able to see anything but the graphics and highlighted text.

Someone suggested I try xpdf, that didn't work either.

I downloaded Acrobat v5 for Windows, installed it, and now it hangs at 
startup and never comes back either.
