        The FAQ problem and solution description are consistent with my
own report, except that it includes guidance to GRUB users who have access
to mkinitrd (Caldera provides no such utility). But why is it even required
on such a standard, well-known platform? It's also not a new problem. I
encountered it earlier on another box (IBM 365) under Red Hat 6.2.
