This is an area where I am struggling. I've trying to get my MS VPN client
to connect through the linux firewall. I've been able to get as far as
connecting, sending name and password, and then it says verifying name and
password, then gives up. I am assuming the firewall is blocking something
coming back in to me from the VPN server, but do not know enough. This is an
a box running linux that acts as a router/firewall as well.
At home, I have a hardware router/firewall and do not have this problem. The
VPN connections just worked right away. Here Win4Lin runs ontop of a linux
box, but the router/firewall is another device on the network.
