How are you installing? From CD or from the downloaded installer?
If you are installing from cd, make sure you check online and get the
updated installer, as well as win4lin rpm. To get the updates, you must
first register.

If that route does not address your problem, make sure you are using a
dos boot floppy that matches the version of windows you're using (i.e.
don't use a WinME boot disk for Win98SE cd).

If that doesn't seem to help, where exactly in stage 2 are you. What does
the installer say, or what is it attempting to do.
