It is trying to create the directory: ~/win/windows/inf/.hide
Does ~/win/windows/inf exist? This is created by Windows
when it is installing itself. If it did not exist then
I would expect a different error message.
Does this directory .hide directory exist?
Did you try removing ~/win ?
Removing Win4Lin and the new kernel should not make any difference.
