Hi John:

I had that problem with Win4lin 2.0, and it took me a bit of experimentation
to figure out what was going on.  Maybe its the same thing...

If I started win &  from my top level home directory (where I had installed
the Windows directories) it worked fine.  If I started it from anywhere else
(a subdirectory of my home directory, for instance) it would fail to start
and give the VM_DIED error.
