To print from a DOS session under Win4Lin, you must enter winsetup.
This should be done as your normal win4lin user. Go to Personal
Win4Lin Session Configuration: Dos->Devices, then under
the DOS Printer option, choose Default Printer in the
drop down menu. Note on this screen you can also change
the timeout. It defaults to 15 seconds, but can be increased
if you experience problems with files not printing, until you
find a value that works for you. Once you save these changes,
your ~/.merge/dos.cfd file is modified with a line such as
lpt1=default,15
This will enable you to print when you are running dos.
In order to print from your dos application while running
dos from within Windows (command.com), you need to make a
modification to your ~/.merge/win.cfw. Edit your win.cfw
file and find the line lpt1=none,0. Change this line to reflect
the value in your dos.cfd config file. Save the file and then
restart windows.
