Its static in that once they assign me an IP it stays the same, I asked for 
an IP in the same subnet as my original and they said it couldn't be done 
because they have to ask the computer for an available IP and once the 
computer pukes out one its mine.  If the computer just happened to puke a set 
in the same subnet I'd be lucky.  Weird way of doing things I thought.
