Win4lin 3.0.5 is now available via the Installer's update feature. For the
curious, this
will be rpm Win4Lin-5.2.5b-d.i386.rpm. It has one significant fix, see below.

Fix for performance problem
� "Win4Lin 3.0 slower than 2.0". This problem was due to a certain
change in the memory paging implementation from Linux 2.2 to Linux 2.4 that
resulted in some Win4Lin code working inefficiently. Fixed by optimizing
for the case that was being done inefficiently. (bug report # 585)
Changes in 3.0.4
Fix for Internet Explorer
� Internet Explorer becomes very slow and fails to load images after
a period of use. (On 2.4 kernel systems only.) (bug report # 597)
Changes in 3.0.3
Fix for Freelance
� When running a slideshow in Freelance, if the slide show is run in
a rapid manner, it will hang the session completely. Even Shift-F12 will
not work. (bug report # 583)
� Error in Freelance when choose pagesort. (bug report # 588) (This
problem apparently can occur on native windows too sometimes according to
the Lotus Website. However, the divide by zero can be caught worked-around,
so we do.)
Changes in 3.0.2
The 3.0.2 version had fixes related to installing evaluation versions.
Changes in 3.0.1
The 3.0.1 version had lots of changes, a lot of them related to installing
the downloaded version. (The 3.0.1 version was the first download version
of Win4Lin 3.0). This included adding support for Mandrake 8.0.
Important bug fixes:
� Fix for Bug 543: Windows 98 Upgrade compliance check causes VM86 DIED.
� Fix for bug 537: Cut and Paste of text in MS Excel causes whole
Win4Lin/Windows session to crash.
� Fix problem with shutdown, or network card removal, on Red Hat 7.1
systems.
