I have a fresh install fo Mandrake 8.0 to work from now.

BTW, I use

rpm2cpio *.rpm | cpio -e --make-directories

to extract the files from an rpm. It's just another way.

According to the Mandrake folk, this is phantom useage (not real useage) 
created for some measuring purpose. It shoudl not impact performance at all.

I'll try again since I had compile errors the last time. sometimes, starting 
fresh is a good thing. 8).
