If you can then I would suggest you practise learning theribbon with JAWS
asit goves more feedback as to where you are on the ribbon than any other
Screen Reader I've used.

Now someone may correct me here if I'm slightly out but theconcept of the
ribbon is simple enough, you have an upper ribbon of tabs and drop-down
menus etc, using the cursor keys moves you along the ribbon whilst other
keys - depending on the type of ribbon item you've moved to - take you to
the lower ribbon portion, JAWS tells you exactly where you are so you don't
get confused and - if you're using the ribbon for the first time - it can
get a little confusing particularly if you don't have feedback as to where
you are.

I'm still not totally sure how the ribbon works with screen-readers actually
but I'm now going to have to learn pretty darn quickly as I start work at
