Yes, I did actually try these and I’m getting absolutely nothing whatsoever 
back.  This leads me to believe that there’s possibly something radical changed 
in Yosemite.  For this reason, I am actually thinking about putting the 
keyboard assignments back to the way they were, and trying another method of 
doing this.

It may, for instance, be more advantageous to do this from within the virtual 
machine itself and thus you don’t lose the functionality of your caps lock key 
in the host operating system.  I personally don’t have a problem with the 
standard Apple key assignment,  But that discussion is for another group.

The reason I ask is because   if you hold down the fn plus  these keys in your 
vm and your caps lock key you will then have your jaws stuff in desk top mode. 
You have to set your  mode in desk top to work. This is how my bf managed to 
fix the insert key issue and hope it helps you to.
