Hi Gordon,

        I'm coming to this thread late.

I'm using JAws in a vertual machine as well.  I've done two things to get a 
Jaws key.  I use a extended USB keyboard that has a insert key.  I also use 
Keyremap4macbook and the corresponding PC software and it turns my caps lock 
into a insert key.  this is not exactly like a Jaws Lap top caps lock but is a 
insert so works very well.  currently I'm using Win 7.and Jaws 15.
