For ported apps that might be fine. I guess the app developer is in
effect the Wine Administrator, and can say what is C: and D:. Not
everybody is going to want to let a windose app get at /, or even ~/,
but maybe it would be a good option to substitute the names, as long as
we don't force "/" to really _be_ /, or "~/" ~/. I can't think of any
reason the slashes should go backwards. I think even for left-handed
people, \ doesn't belong in a pathname unless you are doing something
funky with it.

The app's view of the filesystem is - well, not exactly emulated, -
administered? - it's fair to say the drive letters aren't.
