Hi --
Here's what I do at uncontrolled intersections: try to follow the right-of-way rule but, if it looks like the other person is coming toward me at 45 mph and isn't slowing down, even if he's on the left, I just let him go by. Then I keep on going on my merry way. It's the difference between being right and being shmooshed.

The following is a quote from Chapter 3 of the Minnesota Traffic Laws:
 
  • When two vehicles on different roadways approach an intersection not controlled by a traffic sign or signal at about the same time, the driver of the vehicle on the left should yield to the vehicle on the right.

    I did not get my license in Minnesota, but yielding to the vehicle on the right was a part of the rules & regs many, many years ago and to my knowledge has not been changed anywhere in the USA.
