I have been a little lax in reading through all my WOD posts so I may be too late with this but I don't agree that this is strictly a national issue.
Since the discussion began with a comment in response to the vile words, (i.e. scumbag, dirtbags, etc.) of a city council member, it seems that it is ripe for the local forum.
However, I also thinks that this points out once again the folly of trying to separate the two and I will raise my voice crying in the wilderness one more time and respectfully suggest that we do away with the two forum idea, and allow all discussion on topics of interest on this forum.
