I am flattered that I was the subject of such a study.  I am not convinced that the results have any use to WOD.

Putting aside the general topic of "ACADEMIC research" and considering once again the case at hand, do you (or does anyone) feel the research done by Mr. Schild involved deception or otherwise had the potential to harm the subjects involved?

Glen Schumann: I do not see deception or potential to harm.  All postings to Winona Online Democracy are in a public environment; it seems to me that Mr. Schild did nothing more than observe, report and comment on this public environment.
 
Postings could not be more public, the website for Winona Online Democracy even contains an archive of postings (thought the link seems to be broken).
