Dean and all:
I think we need to limit this discussion to the
topic at hand--Wal-Mart specifically and how it relates to economic development
in general.
I anticipate this is the end of the recent, more
personal exchanges and want the list to be aware that Sharon and I
are paying attention.
Moving along.....
I think Martha's post regarding a "living wage"
addressed some good points about the intentions and "vision" that the Port
Authority has. I haven't had time to review the document links Wally
provided, but you can bet I'll be asking questions of some of those folks
the next time I see them! Has anyone discovered what the strategic plan
for economic development is? Any ideas about what it should be?
Maybe we should start a new discussion thread!
