My post was a good example of why sarcasm is frowned upon
by our discussion moderators: readers are likely to think one
is being serious.

But thank you for the link to their site.
  (   www.minnesotadesignteam.org/   )  I wouldn't have thought
to have looked for it. I haven't read through all of the material,
but their guiding principles suggest that Winona wouldn't be
fertile ground for such an undertaking. We do seem to have a
vision for developing the bluffs and valleys in Wilson Township
and for bringing big box retail to the Riverbend Retail park, but
they appear to adhere to the so-called "new urbanism" ( anti-
sprawl ) design philosophy for sustainable development that
would fall far short of universal acceptance here.

I was being serious, however, when I expressed a desire that
Mr. Woodworth's treatment of his Knitting Mills building and
grounds might serve as an example for our downtown and
riverfront property owners.
