Jus a couple of questions about security at the
high school. A few years ago, Valley Security was contracted to provide
security at WSHS and they had working security cameras that viewed the parking
lot and some of the back hallways at the high school. What ever happened
to that system? Is it still in place and needs updating or repair?
If not, what happened to all of that equipment? Does the district still
have a contract for security at WSHS? While a liason police officer is great,
that is only 1 person. SInce I am a parent of a student there, I do
have some concern that there is a real lack of security at WSHS, especially
since 9/11. I had the opportunity to get something from my student's locker
at 6pm. There was no one in the office and no one there to check in with
or challenge my intent. I seriously doubt if there is even an alarm system
there for non-student time. Hopefully, someone has the answers. Dick
