Linda, are you saying that Lincoln should have been sold to the highest bidder (and who was that, by the way?), but that Ridgeway should be sold to the Ridgeway charter school association without checking whether or not there is a higher bidder out there? I fail to see the logic here.

Nothing about the sale of Lincoln will ever make sense to me. I was in the building last week and thinking to myself, my goodness this would make a nice place for the ALC students.
No, the board cannot go back and 'unsell' it.  One of the questions we have never been answered is why was it not sold to the highest bidder?
Now they want to sell Ridgeway to the highest bidder when they know the charter school association wants to buy it.  By the way, that school was paid for by the residents/taxpayers of Ridgeway and then given to the district when schools had to merge.  The land the school sits on was sold for $1.00 to to build a school on.   I am on the townboard, I have seen the documents.

We are still waiting for Mr Herold to come forward with the financial cost numbers the move from Lincoln School will be costing the taxpayers and where is all the money above $700,000.00 is coming from?  Not the estimates, as we know by now those are going to be way off.  We found that out at Goodview school.  I still believe we should have put 300 or so thousand into fixing the problems at Lincoln and we would be farther ahead.  Can't go back, but with over $10 million needed to just remodel the high school and bring it up to code according to the Wold report.  That is without the new area, I believe.  Ruth
