Readers of WOD can say it is hearsay, I will not for the reason of confidentiality divulge the name of these organizations. I am not a dishonest person nor do I dislike Shakespeare, so I have no personal vendetta to say this. My statement stands, they have injured other arts endevours in this town. This is a fact. I was in a City Managers office two years ago, right after a call had come in from a Shakespeare organizer saying they had not reached their financial burden the first year and would not be back the second year unless they could recover. We are talking hundreds of thousands of dollars here, not just a few bucks. Within weeks, organizations were reporting pull back or decrease in sponsorships - I have no reason to make this up. I just pay attention.
