Was anyone surprised that the issue of school buildings-Lincoln, the high school, etc.-received so little attention from the aspirants for school board seats? Only one candidate even touched upon the subject, and he mentioned it only in passing. I suspect that the incumbents running for reelection, Susan Brown and Natalie Siderius, were ready to respond to critics in detail and were perplexed that the issue didn't arise. Could the absence of the subject mean that it will play an insignificant part in the coming election? If not, why didn't it get more attention?
