Alberto and I have discussed this at length. We do not support Vista and we
believe that there will be many problems with your homebrew software and also
with many drivers.

Even though MS has made it a requirement for all dealers to sell their computers
with Vista, it is still possible to purchase XP Professional and install it
yourself. Your dealer may be able to offer a package deal and/or install it for
you.

The 48KHz USB boxes tend to be very poor. There are also 96KHz USB boxes which
are better. I do not remember the model, but I gave one to Alberto and it works
with Winrad. Stay away from the Creative Labs home models.

If you are willing to pay more than the Delta-44 PCI card, then the best ones
are from EMU. Of those, the PCI and the pcmcia models that have a 'm' at the end
of their model number are the best ones. They are 192KHz and they have the top
A/D converters in them. You can sometimes find these on ebay.
