We've had good luck with the Cisco patch wall antennas, which are indoor/outdoor. AIR-ANT2465P-R, see http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/ps6521/products_data_sheet0 9186a008022b11b.html. We mount a 1240AG access point inside the building and have buildings and grounds run a short conduit through the wall and mount the antenna outside, as high up as we can get it.
