Hi,

Perhaps we are experiencing the same thing. I have verbose mode set on my
radius server and when the clients have multiple starts it is due to a
"Challenge Timeout" error. Sometimes updating the drivers on the wireless
cards fixes this issue if it is a Windows device. On the Mac side, I have
found that in 10.5, when a client starts up, the wireless card will always
fail and a disconnect/reconnect is needed to get the wireless card to
connect. If the Mac stays on and goes to sleep and then wakes back up, the
Mac instantly reconnects without any problems. In 10.4, the problem is
intermittent and I can't relate it to anything. Sometimes the Mac will
connect and sometimes it will not. I have heard a rumor that Apple is
aware of the 802.1x problem with their wireless stuff and is making
efforts to fix it in 10.5 and maybe 10.4.

[WIRELESS-LAN] <SPAM> Re: [WIRELESS-LAN] Multiple RADIUS accounting
"starts" for same client

I meant to send this but did not have a chance. ( User and MAC are changed
to protect the innocent)

In my case this device was an Apple. Also notice the different session-id.
To me it looks like the client was having a bad day!. However, I saw
similar behavior with PC's as well. This seems to be different than what
you were seeing Lee.
