We use the Enterasys product. The advantage is that because we chose
them as our network vendor, we are able to leverage their security
products seamlessly across our entire infrastructure. We have had zero
issues with performance, the auto tuning works great. We are in the
process of moving from ABG to ABGN. We can provision the new device at
the controller and hand it off to a student technician to replace with
zero configuration on their part.

Subject: Re: [WIRELESS-LAN] Comments on Vendors and Technology

We are a Meru shop. They have beat out Aruba twice in our evaluations.
We really like their single channel architecture and virtual cell
technology. The only thing bad I have to say is that you should never
buy anything from Meru that isn't in production at some customer site.
We've bought beta items, or items that will be released "soon" a couple
times (once without knowing it) and had to wait 6-12 months before we
actually got it after making the purchase.

Other than that, we are satisfied.

We are currently evaluating 4 wireless vendors for deployment in our
residences. They are Xirrus, Meru, Enterasys, and Aruba.

Any comments anyone wants to share about these vendors, their technology
and support.

Thanks in advance.
