I've heard anecdotally that AT&T has a femtocell product/solution in the works. I should point out, however, that such devices aren't necessarily "quick & dirty," as they require (at least in the case of the Samsung product marketed by VZW) GPS reception for E911 geolocation and time base. As such, the same phenomenon that attenuates the cellular coverage (e.g. below ground, "heavy" building construction, etc.) also blocks the GPS reception, so you're right back to where you started.

Yes, we gave the VZW device a whirl here and it's not practical for "enterprise" class use. IT doesn't stay locked onto the GPS satellite and therefore can't be used in the areas we need it most.
