We have been running it for just under 2 weeks. We had one major problem -
clients lost connectivity to the AP for about 1/3 of their total connect time
(up, down, up, down,...). After opening a TAC case and isolating a couple of
groups of APs to a single controller while reverting all other WiSM2s back to
7.0.235.3 and playing for a while, it appeared that client session timeout had
something to do with the problem. Lowering the value decreased the time the
connection was up while raising it increased the up time. And, all clients lost
and then regained connectivity at the same time on a regular interval. After
doing some reading on this value, it looked like I had them all (at least most)
set wrong. The Cisco docs lists a series of connection methods (e.g., WPA2+WPA)
where this value should be set with all others (e.g., open, WEP, WPA-PSK) set
to zero or disabled. I set a couple of SSIDs per this advice and the problem
improved. It was only after I disabled this setting on all SSIDs on the
controller that the problem seems to have gone away. I now have two controllers
running 7.4.100.60 with client session timeout disabled and have not seen the
problem for them.

We even tried an engineering release (7.4.100.xx) with no change. Even went
back to 7.3 & 7.2 with the same results. Did not try 7.1.

TAC is not convinced yet and the case remains open. They say they have never
seen this before. I will start upgrading my remaining WiSM2 controllers later
this week with all client session timeouts disabled.

I need 7.4 for recognition of our new 2602 & 3602 APs. And, we have new dense
deployment that Cisco Advanced Services is helping with that they say needs
some new stuff in the 7.4 code.
