Good morning, Here at TCU, we test beta code for Cisco. We uploaded one of our WISM controllers to 7.5 about two months ago, but within 24 hours Cisco called and advised me to roll the code back. Our Cisco Lab manager advised to avoid that release like the plague, as it has many client service effecting bugs. Been waiting for 7.4MR1 ever since. Currently we are testing 7.4.100.116. The Apple TVs are working just fine in a very limited deployment. However we are still guiding our Fac/Staff to use AirServer instead.
With that said.... Plus I was told that the AM-100 is not even available to ship, until September 2013. Just thought I'd share, in case you haven't seen this device before. I believe it was demo'd at Cisco Live this year too. TCU is considering using the Crestron Air Media product in the near future for instructional purposes. Have a great day. Although I'm not sure what 2.0 is going to be bringing in it. The ap support isn't as big as the mdns enhancements and the device profiles that you get in 7.5 in my opinion, but everyone environments/requirements are different. Unfortunately for me apple tv display mirroring has become a huge issue here so I'm pretty much forced to go 7.5 route. Since I don't need compatibility for the four new APs supported with the release, I'm going to hold off on it.
