Regarding Julian's point...anyone know of folks actually doing work to evaluate speed differences of older iOS devices that HAVE upgraded to iOS 7?

I got burned pretty badly with the iOS 4 upgrade on my iPhone 3G. Also I'm due for a phone upgrade, and Apple is offering pretty good trade in value for my 4S, so I might just go for a new 5s now. -- Julian Y.
