Frank, We have a few deployments on campus where we have an auditorium with 802.11n and only a/bg in the surrounding rooms and have not had any issues so far. Currently we only have entire building deployments of 11ac, although with the experience we have had so far with Meru we would deploy 11ac in selective areas. The only reason we have not done more selective upgrades and only entire buildings, other than budget, is that we have been seeing great results with their virtualization on the new 832's and we can't use that feature in a mixed AP building.
