That is what I have done as well, and yes it's not very user friendly for setup. It's also an rf killer and I have been trying to not expand this because of the high channel utilization this causes by having both ends doing the mirror on wifi.

They have to setup a profile to do this, and push it out to the Apple TV device, but believe me, it is painful.
