Hi all, I know this doesn't quite fit in the "community network" scheme, but I know there are lots of people lurking on the list that are interested in commercial public WLAN stuff, and, why not, this might be a way at some point for community networks to finance some of their costs by having external visitors pay a contribution (no flames please!).
I'm trying to create an open forum for discussion of open roaming, for public WLAN and others. Ultimately, I would like to see this become an IETF working group, but we need to get a bit of discussion started first! That's why I have created the following mailing list: http://lists.ipsector.com/listinfo/openroaming There are also some internet-drafts on the topic, in particular: http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-caron-public-wlan-roaming-issues-00.txt which tries to list the issues, requirements, and possible or needed solutions for this. You are all welcome to comment on it on the openroaming list! Thanks, Jacques. -- general wireless list, a bawug thing <http://www.bawug.org/> [un]subscribe: http://lists.bawug.org/mailman/listinfo/wireless
