Thanks for the ideas so far...I did try the Linksys Wireless Signal Booster today on our BEFW11S4 to which the DSL line goes. The distillation of my opinion on this unit is that it increases signal strength more than coverage area in my application.
To clarify some things...the DSL line to our office is our own private network - separate from the hospital IT network, so we are exempt from whatever security regulations that the hospital requires of its own network. The office we are located in is adjacent to the operating suite, but this suite is a lot larger than the office and there is a locker room and restroom in between. From our office, I can get a signal from the BEFW11S4 all the way to the bathroom, but no further. Imagine a floor plan in the shape of the letter "P". My office is at the bottom stem of the "P" and the OR suite is the circle part with the locker room/restroom completing the rest of the stem in between. Also, I thought that two WAP11's could be attached together to serve a "repeating" function with one unit receiving and the other retransmitting. Am I mistaken? __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
