Staurt FYI about your comment on making a dc injector, just incase you are looking for a complete unit we have one available that will work with any AP/bridge that has POE support: http://www.demarctech.com/products/reliawave-poe/reliawave-dc-injector.h tml
Also for a point to point link you have a practical limit of 48dBm EIRP. Its not exactly clear what setup you think is going over legal limits is this the PtP Orinoco and 15dBi antenna or something else? I could happily get 11mbps. I now have to purchase the wireless units. I have been looking at the new WAP54G from linksys. I believe 2 of these will bridge together nicely and i have heard that they have POE (Power over Ethernet) capabilities too. Does anyone have any experience with these units? Is there anywhere i can find out about the POE specification, it looks like i will have to make a box to splice the power into the Ethernet lead but i am unsure which leads are free? Does anyone know how i can attenuate the broadcast power without affecting my sensitivity. IE, i am exceeding legal limits at the moment, so i would like to drop my output power but not drop my sensitivity? Also, would people be interested if a table (Database) was setup where everyone could input there wireless link details. EG recieve sense/distance/SNR/equipment used/comments etc etc. This would allow other users to make comparisons with similar gear. It could also highlight to some users that there system is working under par. Thanks Richy --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
