Yuppie-wannabe parents use WiFi while the kids scrape knee on the "PlayPlace".

Increases per-head revenue (parent no longer drinks a Coke, but also buys a 'combo' to
go along with the 1.25 "Happy Meals".

Note that 'throughput' doesn't argue for the "Playland/PlayPlace" either.

Gotta get 'em in the door, extract as much as possible while they're there.  Only then 
do
you get to worry about turnover.  Making you buy a sandwich means you have to go 
'inside',
rather than cruise in the parking lot.

I'll bet Starbucks ends up doing the same thing, eventually.
