I agree. I have been using SSH for a long time. No worries. But what do I tell my mother who has to call me on the phone to ask how to turn on her Macintosh ... every single time. SSH is *not* for her.
An email service that uses POP3, SMTP-AUTH with SSL using the same ID and Password as POP3. That's two checkboxes in the email reader and it never needs to change no matter where you're connected from.
