Another option is the 100mw card available from http://www.macwireless.com/ , but I have yet to try one. I think others on the list have and you might find some answers in the archives.
I found a driver for the Prism/PrismII chipsets for MacOS 10.2 (Jaguar) at Sourceforge. It looks like it will work with most of the popular cards out there including the Senao card I have sitting here to loan him. I suspect that a +23dbm Senao card with a 10dbi patch antenna will work even better. That combo will give him 3+ mi range instead of the 300' he can't do now.
