As much as I hate MS, I don't think that's really what's going on. I've got some linksys USB radios on an indoor network I take care of that's a mix of 2000, XP Home, and XP Pro, and we haven't had any problems yet. Other than getting XP's integrated WEP to work at times. Have you verified that all the settings were correct on XP? for example: Network device settings for TCP/IP, the WEP key, SSID.
