- Get a Linksys WRT54G
- Give your local machines fixed NAT IP, say <.100
- Give everyone else DHCP with > .100
- Create some firewall rules for IP addresses >.100 such as deny access to your ISP's smtp server or perhaps no port 25 at all.
If you want to get fancy, investigate some of the hacked firmware for the WRT54G and put in some much more complex rules to limit what they can do along with bandwidth shaping. Pretty soon (next month or so) we'll have NoCatSplash available. It can be loaded now on the WRT but it still requires some serious hacking skills.
This won't be *secure* but it's probably good enough.
