Hello,

I am very much considering considering purchasing a Orthogon Gemeni lite system. I just wanted to ask if anyone else out there is using these systems currently in nlos applications and if so how well does it really work? 9 grand to find out is a rather expensive experiment. They claim you can make links where you would think it is impossible. However what they claim and what is true could very well be different as it is in so many other things in life. Any input would be much appreciated.

Have been using a Gemini link for over a year, and recently moved
it to a troublesome PtP with NLOS (flat with trees) where a 802.11b
and a TrangoLINK10 have both failed.

So far so good. With auto xmit power, auto channel selection, auto
modulation mode and error correction, I reckon it is doing the best
that can be done within the location and UK OfCOM limits.

Always use the latest firmware as the link throughput has improved
with every release so far.

Only possible gripe is the lack of secure management (https, SSH)
but then with full SNMP support, I rarely need to login as MRTG
and the odd syslog tells me all I need to know.

Disclaimer: just a happy customer.
