We let people use anything they want. We suggest they get linksys so I can help them over the phone.

I've not had much trouble with them at all.

The key seems to be changing the lan ip addy from the default setting. This way, when some lunk head plugs on in backward it doesn't drive them crazy.

Oh yeah, and turn off upnp.  Anyone know what that really does anyway?

I HAVE seen them set themselves to the factory default lately. Over the last 6 to 12 months it's probably happening on 5 to 10% of the newer linksys wireless routers.
