The AT&T comment only goes so far. I'm sure the big 5 (or however many there are now) cell carriers don't call Bob, the local American Tower rep. They probably have a dedicated "Nextel" team in American Tower.
AT&T only adds 100 towers every once in a while. Volume makes a difference, but when I talked to various nationwide tower guys, it seemed like volume meant 12 antenna each on 50 towers. I do know a couple semi-local tower guys (20 - 50 towers or so) and they're great to work with. I even put all of one guy's towers in Google Earth and sent him the file to put on his web site. I sure as hell wouldn't do that for American Tower, Global Signal, or whoever else is left in that industry. ----- Mike Hammett Intelligent Computing Solutions http://www.ics-il.com -------------------------------------------------- From: "Tom DeReggi" <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, January 11, 2009 10:31 PM To: "WISPA General List" <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [WISPA] www.att.com/towers > I gotta agree with Blake.
