Just a note of thanks to all who offered solutions;K.Elangovan,Larry,Frank,and my apoligies to anyone I missed... Things are working fine here with my wireless/wired routers together. Problem #1 I think was that I had the wireless router set as a DHCP server, and problem #2 was connecting the cable to the WAN instead of one of the LAN ports on the wirelss router.
