this is a exactly what web services are all about, XML-RPC is a standard that is used by many web server products.

The work that Scott has done brings the XML capabilities of Witango to light in a very tangible way.

I like to refer to Witango as “The Facilitator”, because it allows me to integrate all different types of scripting/object technologies into a cohesive and manageable core.

Hi,

Many thanks to both all of you that make this archive available, the new layout is great and smaller, so more content available on the screen(s).

I didn't have any knowledge about XML-RPC but the Scott work seems incredible and give another powerfull tool for the Witango communauty. (the xml-extra.net site is also a great thing,)

If I've well understand XML-RPC is a protocol used to make 2 server speak themselve (request and response, bidirectionnal), this seems powerfull, does any one can mention some service acutally done with this protocol (that would help me to understand what are the relevant use of this technology...)

does a such technology should be used in the development of a shared news module? allowing to automatically (cascadingly) launch update on other sites if a news is added? (all the sites use Witango application server)

thanks!

Gauthier

PS:I will enjoy some materials about the flash/witango integration too if possible ;)

Subject: Witango-Talk: EMail Archive...

Hi All,

The email archive application has been updated at http://www.witango.ws.

And John Hollister is the one we all need to thank for all the work he has put into it.

I will be setting up SQL Server as the database so that the server will just pop mail from the list and be always current without human intervention  ;-) .

I will have to take the link offline until I get through with the install and setup. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

I also received the data from Jon Grieve at the conference to incorporate the old Tango-Talk and LetsTango lists to turn this archive into a knowledge base.

I will also be implementing the great XML-RPC work that Scott Cadillac has done. This will be an online example of the Web Services capabilities of Witango.
