I would have to question how the odbc/dsn is setup/operating,
Can you turn on the logging in odbc to see if you can spot there error?

Is it setup as a User DSN or System DSN? (System DSN is preferred)

Do you have another program that can use this new ODBC/DSN and does it
connect?
Is it the same version of odbc?
Are all the settings from the 4.5 dsn setup in this new dsn?

Just trying to ascertain the setup.
I have been beta testing 5 on Win98,XP Pro,Win2k against a myriad of
database without fail.

I new this.. Only here is my main goal..

Trying to use Witango 5.0 dev studio with
newly created odbc/dsn (no username and password
specify) to connect to a database..

If I didnt create a username and password why
would it ask me, but this is a minor issue.

I am just trying to use this new witango 5.0 dev
studio
to connect to a database thru odbc/dsn connection and
so far is not able to connect.

on a different box with witango 4.5 it will connect to
the same database.

I am going to read the docs again...
