Good new/bad news... Using RTango 2000, we don't see the issues that you are seeing. Working at an R> prompt, connected to a database, while creating/modifying/running tafs/dbms's, has never been a problem.
Perhaps a reinstallation is in order. -----Original Message----- From: Atrix Wolfe <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Multiple recipients of list witango-talk <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Thursday, January 16, 2003 12:46 PM Subject: Re: Witango-Talk: too many stations logged in the version number is 1.837xRT03 i agree on the second part...if i have r:base open to a datasource, i have to close it before i can run a .taf that uses that data source, or else i get that "too many stations logged in error". That has been my work around til now (note i also have always had to copy/paste dbms actions because i couldnt create new ones for the same reason). What is happening now is that r:base and tango editor are shut down....i go to run code and it works fine. As soon as i hit a .tcf file which uses a datasource the .taf uses....kaboom. Too many stations logged in. This used to work, so if i have to upgrade...why has it worked so far? Ive always had to do the work arounds like disconnecting r:base before testing code and copying dbms's instead of creating new ones but this tcf files used to work fine and now they don't. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Troy Sosamon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Multiple recipients of list witango-talk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, January 16, 2003 12:26 PM Subject: RE: Witango-Talk: too many stations logged in > Check the Oterro version number under the ODBC drivers. > It should be something like 2.50.00.03. > > If the last number is a 1 instead of a 3, then you have the single user > version. > You are only going to be able to connect 1 machine at a time to any give > data source. > Put a copy of your database in another directory and connect to that > database on your development machine.
